Become a member in Parachute local

Parachute Local is a non-profit organization with the aim of supporting children and their families in need of paramedical care in countries with limited resources/low-income countries. This is primarily achieved through knowledge exchange, with activities planned in collaboration with local organizations.

We have an ongoing collaboration with Cheshire Services Ethiopia, an independent non-profit organization that provides orthopedic and social rehabilitation for children and young people with disabilities in Ethiopia. One of their centers is located in Menagesha, about 20 km outside Addis Ababa. Parachute Local sends volunteers who are licensed physical therapists there, with a focus on training local rehabilitation staff but also providing practical support for the organization's activities. The goal is to send two people on two occasions per year.

Anyone can become a member. As a member, you can vote at the annual meeting and you are welcome to get involved in line with the association's purpose. The membership fee creates opportunities for the association to expand projects in areas such as promotion, sponsorships, and market analysis. This allows us to increase our ability to spread our vision of supporting children with disabilities in resource-limited countries.
